BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: A unique fun program where children will exercise their mind, body and creativity. We teach them to think outside the box. We give them tools to stay away from video games and computers. We teach them to be creative and have fun, using their imagination and being surrounded by other kids playing game boards and sharing quality time. Every child loves painting, playing board games, and doing sports, so do we!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Team Sports, Fine Arts/Crafts, and more. Chess & Fun Outdoor Activities Like Bouncing Castles, Water Slides Etc.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: CHESS: The main objective of this program is the use of chess playing as a tool to improve your child’s: self confidence, imagination, concentration and intuition, logical and critical thinking, and reasoning skills.
Each student has the use of a chess book as we work together. We do wall board activities and students play at the giant board outside where they get to be the knight queen or king!
At the end of the summer each student gets to take home their own chess board made of wood with the pieces made of clay!
Students will be grouped into different skill levels, (beginners,intermedia,advance)
WEEK 1 Pawn, Rook and Bishop
WEEK 2 Queen, King
WEEK 3 Knight, Strategy 1
WEEK 4 Strategy 2
WEEK 5 Strategy 3
ART
During art time children will learn how to be creative and express themselves through different techniques. The many techniques applied every day of the week consist of: collage, painting all kind of surfaces and sizes (even murals!), drawing, sculpting, cartooning and toy making. We teach them about famous artists and art movements so they can get inspired by them! At the end of each sessions, students will bring home a portfolio with all their art.

THURSDAY: Mix Media Techniques - Collages
FRIDAY: Comics!!! New!!!
WEEK 1- Animals

WEEK 5- Learning From The Masters (Picasso, Miro, Kahlo, Matisse, Hearing)
